DEVOTIONAL

Scripture tells you in Genesis 1:27 that you were made in the image and likeness of God. That means creativity is not something you simply learned. It is something you inherited. You bear the imprint of the greatest Creator, which means that your desire to build, design, write, sing, imagine, capture, or shape beauty is a reflection of His nature. Creativity is woven into your DNA.

Being made in His image means that the creativity in you is meant to reveal something about Him. God creates with intention, wisdom, strength, compassion, and clarity. When you create with Him, your work carries those same qualities. Your art becomes more than talent. It becomes reflection. Your creativity becomes a mirror that reveals glimpses of who God is.

Instead of seeing your creativity as a hobby or trait, recognize it as a calling connected to your identity. You were created by a God who forms galaxies, designs oceans, authors stories, paints sunsets, and shapes destinies. His nature is creative, and since you were made in His likeness, creativity was always meant to flow through you.

Today, embrace this truth. Your creativity is not separated from your spiritual identity. It is part of it. When you create, you participate in something divine. You mirror a God who still forms, still speaks, still builds, and still breathes life into what He touches.
