DEVOTIONAL
Creativity is rarely strengthened in isolation. While solitude can help you hear God, community helps you grow. Proverbs 27:17 teaches that people sharpen one another the same way iron sharpens iron. God did not design you to create alone. He designed you to grow alongside voices that challenge you, support you, pray for you, and help you become stronger.
Community keeps your creativity grounded. When you are surrounded by the right people, pride has less room to grow, comparison loses power, and discouragement finds comfort. God places people in your life who can help refine your ideas, correct your blind spots, and pull out gifts you did not know you carried. Creativity deepens when you allow others to speak into your development.
Community also protects your calling. It keeps you accountable when distractions arise. It keeps you motivated when you feel tired. It keeps you encouraged when you feel unseen. God uses the people around you as mirrors, mentors, and reminders. Your creative journey becomes richer when walked with others who love God and support your purpose.
Ask God to strengthen the relationships that are meant to stay and remove the ones that drain your spirit. You do not need a large crowd. You need the right circle. Creativity thrives where community is strong.
