DEVOTIONAL

Every creative knows the unsettling feeling of silence. When inspiration pauses, when direction is unclear, or when God does not speak the way you expect, it can feel like something is wrong. But Psalm 46:10 calls you to be still and know that He is God. Silence is not absence. Silence is invitation.

When God feels silent, He is often drawing you closer, not pushing you away. Silence teaches you to listen differently. It shifts your dependence from ideas to intimacy. Silence slows your spirit down enough to recognize the gentle ways God speaks. In quiet seasons, God refines your motives, strengthens your patience, and prepares your heart for what is next.

Silence is a teacher. Silence is a purifier. Silence is a reset. Creativity does not die in silence. It deepens. God may be protecting you from rushing ahead. He may be redirecting your path. He may be preparing something bigger than you realize.

Instead of panicking in the silence, lean into it. Ask God what He is building. Ask Him what He wants you to notice. Ask Him to steady your heart so you can hear Him accurately.
