DEVOTIONAL
Every calling carries a cost. Creativity is no exception. Creativity will cost your comfort. It will cost your fear of man. It may cost relationships that cannot handle your growth. It may cost old identities that no longer fit. Luke 14:27 reminds you that anyone who wants to follow Jesus must be willing to carry their own cross. Creativity, like discipleship, requires sacrifice.
To create what God has placed in you, you may have to let go of laziness, insecurity, perfectionism, or the need for approval. You may have to give up your desire to please everyone. You may have to release opportunities that look good but are not God aligned. You may have to trust God with seasons when progress feels slow.
But the cost is always worth it. God invests deeply in those who are willing to pay the price of obedience. The discomfort you feel now is shaping the capacity you will need later. Creativity that costs you nothing will not carry the weight of heaven. Creativity surrendered to God will always be more powerful than creativity built on convenience.
Today, ask God what He is inviting you to release. Let Him strengthen your resolve to carry the calling He placed on your creativity.
