DEVOTIONAL
Success for creatives is often measured by numbers, recognition, and response. But God defines success differently. First Samuel 16:7 teaches that people look at outward appearance, but God looks at the heart. That truth applies to creativity as well. God sees your motives, your surrender, your growth, and your obedience long before the world sees your results.
Success in God’s eyes is obedience. Success is faithfulness. Success is creating what He asked you to create, even when the outcome is uncertain. Success is stewarding your gift well, not outperforming others. Success is saying yes when fear tells you to be quiet. Success is showing up when you feel discouraged. Heaven applauds steps of obedience that no one else notices.
When you allow God to define success, pressure decreases and peace increases. You stop striving for approval and start creating from identity. You stop chasing applause and start chasing assignment. You stop measuring your worth by numbers and start measuring your life by surrender.
Today, release the false measurements of success. Ask God to redefine how you see your creative journey. He is not impressed by your output. He is moved by your obedience.
