DEVOTIONAL

Talent can impress people, but anointing transforms them. Many creatives try to perfect their skill, refine their technique, or increase their visibility, but none of those things can replace the presence of God on your gift. Isaiah 61:1 says the Spirit of the Lord is upon you because He has anointed you. That means God places His hand on ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary things. When you create under His leading, your work carries something deeper than talent. It carries heaven’s breath.

Anointing makes your creativity effective in ways you cannot explain. It softens hearts, opens conversations, and shifts atmospheres. Anointing cannot be manufactured. It flows from intimacy. When you spend time with God, your creativity becomes a vessel. When you surrender your process to Him, your ideas gain spiritual impact. When you prioritize His presence over public validation, your gift becomes a tool in His hands.

People may appreciate your talent, but they are changed by your anointing. This does not mean you ignore craft or neglect excellence. It means you put God first, knowing your skill becomes most powerful when it partners with His Spirit. Ask God to breathe on your creativity. Ask Him to saturate your gift with His presence. Ask Him to let your work carry His love, His wisdom, His conviction, and His healing.

Your gift has purpose, but its power comes from the One who gave it.

Scripture: Isaiah 61:1 TPT

The mighty Spirit of Lord Yahweh is wrapped around me because Yahweh has anointed me.
